Social media marketing for doctors and clinics

Doctor-led videos and patient education that make people feel they already know you before they book. We script, shoot, edit and publish, and every claim is checked before it goes live.

Why social media works differently for doctors

A clinic's social media isn't a catalogue. Patients use it to answer quiet questions: Is this doctor approachable? Do they explain things clearly? Is this clinic clean, modern, trustworthy? Content that answers those questions, mostly through the doctor's own voice, does more than any offer graphic.

At the same time, healthcare content has limits other industries don't. Promotional superlatives, guaranteed outcomes, unconsented patient photos and misleading before-and-after images can breach professional rules and erode trust. We plan within those limits from the first brief. General context, not legal advice. Confirm category-specific rules with your own advisers.

The content that works for clinics

  • Short explainers. "What causes…", "When should you see a doctor for…", "What happens during…". Each answers one real question in under a minute.
  • Myth-busting. Correcting common misconceptions positions the doctor as a calm, credible voice.
  • Behind the scenes. The clinic, the equipment, the team, hygiene practices: things patients worry about but rarely ask.
  • Patient journeys, only with documented consent, told respectfully and without exaggerated outcomes.
  • Live Q&As and collaborations with other specialists, where they help patients.

Making it sustainable for busy doctors

The biggest risk to clinic social media is the doctor's time. We plan batch recording sessions, about one to two hours a month, with scripts prepared in advance. A whole month of content comes from that session, and the doctor approves the final edits.

Turning followers into consultations

Every profile gets a clear route to booking: WhatsApp, call or a consultation form. Comments and DMs are answered within agreed hours, with medical questions politely redirected to a consultation rather than answered in public. When there's demand to capture, we add patient enquiry campaigns.

FAQs

Doctors on social media questions.

How much time does a doctor need to give?

Usually one to two hours a month for a batch recording session, plus quick approvals. We prepare scripts in advance so the session is efficient.

Can you post before-and-after photos?

Only where they are genuine, consented, not misleading, and allowed by professional rules and platform policies for that treatment. In many cases, explainers work better and carry less risk.

Will you answer patients’ medical questions in comments?

No. We reply politely and direct medical questions to a consultation, so no clinical advice is given publicly.

Which platforms are best for doctors?

Usually Instagram and YouTube for patient education, with Facebook for older audiences and LinkedIn for referral relationships with other professionals.

Can you also run ads for consultations?

Yes. Once content builds trust, we often add Google and Meta campaigns for consultations. See healthcare lead generation.
